USS Audacious (1913)
[edit]DANFS has no listing of an Audacious [1]. I cannot find any evidence that the US Navy ever operated a ship of this era meaning that USS is the incorrect prefix to use for this ship. I found evidence of an SS Audacious [2] operated by the Merchant Marine. In any case, this article should be moved to SS Audacious (1913) which I will do in a few days. --Brad (talk) 00:45, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
USNS Audacious (T-AGOS-11)
[edit]AGOS-11 wasn't a WWII ship. It is a modern day ship. Does anyone have the current info so this article can be corrected? --JAYMEDINC 05:36, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
After doing research on all Stalwart class tactical auxiliary general ocean surveillance ships for the last 24 hours, I can find nothing on a USS Audacious other than the USS Audacious NCC-60650 from Star Trek. I think this article should be titled Dom Carlos (A522) because that is what Portugal renamed USNS Audacious (T-AGOS-11). --JAYMEDINC 06:42, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
There was no USS AUDACIOUS (1913)
[edit]No such ship existed with attachment of USS to this ship a complete blunder — presumably because it was at Normandy(!). I've recommended the redirect of that name be deleted as there are no incoming links after I corrected the DAB page that still had the USS blunder linked. That page now only has this ship and the ocean surveillance USNS ship and should also probably be deleted as neither are USS links. Palmeira (talk) 03:26, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
