Most underrated emcee

Mistah Fab

[edit]

During the battle fab didn't hve any written rhymes. He didn't even know he was going to battle against royce until the last minute. Royce was the one with written rhymes. And he did respond to fab's diss —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.225.19.209 (talk) 01:31, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Royce entered with the idea that it was more of a "cipher", a collaboration battle, not a diss battle like it turned out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.15.28.83 (talk) 14:27, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the page says ""CIA" which was a 10 minute track that fans and critics say it destroyed Royce's "Who Got Bodied"." Who are these fans and critics? I've never heard/read/seen one person say FAB's diss was better. "Who Got Bodied" is widely accepted as the wining track. Miscellany

[edit]
  • The incident with Proof and Royce being locked up in adjacent cells happened before 2005. Please check your sources, the chronology is way off. Also, the Death Is Certain LP doesn't contain 'bitter subliminal disses' to the members of the Shady Camp, Royce aired that out on his "Build and Destroy" mixtape and expresses frequently on Death is Certain that he has "moved on" from the Beef. --Ford Guarino April 25, 2006 at 1:48 (EST)
  • Especially the second paragraph of the 'Style' section. It's not a fan page, it's supposed to be an encyclopedia.

I just removed the second paragraph of 'Technique', it contained no information beyond what existed as an opinion. Perhaps the rest of the article should also be evaluated for neutrality? Haidinski 01:52, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is very "fanboyish". I also removed Yelawolf as an associated act since they've never even worked together as a solo artist; they just happen to be labelmates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.184.233.201 (talk) 19:45, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Death Is Certain & MIC

[edit]

Could anyone add a piece of text to this about Death Is Certain being a classic album ? And also some more(a new subcategory preferred under Today about The MIC[crew and label]). Tuplad 00:16, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Deathiscertain.jpg

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Ain't Been In Da Game Da Long

[edit]

I really don't think RD5'9 has been in the game since the 80s'. he might have been interested in the game since he was 10, but i don't think he been in da game longer than Premier. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.167.254.68 (talk) 01:32, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He's spitting for a while now, he's spitting for 15 years now. --Tuplad (talk) 21:20, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since 1997. That's when he broke into the game with Eminem in Detroit. Before that, him and Em were the top two best unsigned rappers in the Detroit area without a record deal. This is common knowledge. Wufan10304 (talk) 02:28, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Misquoted lines

[edit]

This is completely wrong:

"Buddens said the battle was embarrasing/ Compared to it he's more embarrasing/ So i'ma use his beat to murk you/ And maybe he'll see that i'll murk him too."

What he really said was:

"Buddens said the battle was embarrassing/ Comparison this shit here's more embarrassing/ So i'ma use his beat to murk you/ And maybe he'll see that i'll murk him too."

Singles

Need a desperate update from someone who knows this mans track record. MY GOD HIS PAGE SUCKS!!! Cannot believe there is no mention with his works with Candian rapper/producer Classified. Dope songs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.111.134.7 (talk) 01:29, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Photo in infobox

[edit]

In general, we should not have unrelated photos in infoboxes. There is no reason to show Mo Sabri as it has nothing to do with a Royce da 5'9" infobox and only adds to confusion. The only reason I didn't remove the photo in the infobox is that we don't have another photo of Royce da 5'9". Most other photos were deleted for copyright reasons. Once we have one, this photo needs to be replaced werldwayd (talk) 18:29, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Now I have found a replacement photo that only shows Royce da 5'9". I have demoted the other photo to a lower section werldwayd (talk) 18:35, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Royce Da 5'9 - It's Him.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Royce Da 5'9 - It's Him.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Royce Da 5'9 - It's Him.jpg)

This is Bot placed notification, another user has nominated/tagged the image --CommonsNotificationBot (talk) 08:57, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

Like all the other Rap Artist articles on Wikipedia with a Good Article status, I think that genre section in the infobox should only say "Hip Hop", not "midwest hip hop" or "hardcore hip hop" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Green-Halcyon (talkcontribs) 21:37, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree and concur. Wufan10304 (talk) 02:30, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Royce da 5'9"

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Royce da 5'9"'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Book of Ryan

[edit]

Has there been any more news from reliable sources on his Book of Ryan album that was supposed to come out? He discussed it in a HotNewHipHop interview but hasn't been mentioned since that occurrence. --Beeteegee (talk) 03:35, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
