Replace "Lynch can play piano and drums however, he specializes in guitar. " with "Lynch can play piano and drums; however, he specializes in guitar. "

Just to remove a comma splice....

This actor is not a real musician and should be removed from wiki as a musician of any sort. Simple as that. Realmusician2014 (talk) 03:52, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Declined. The subject's notability has been established by the references listed in the article. Whatever your (or my) opinion of the subject's musical talent (or lack), he qualifies for inclusion in Wikipedia. Dwpaul Talk 04:01, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I know there are better quality images, but I think this 2018 image doesn't look too bad[1].BRADFORD talk 19:02, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship

[edit]

Will anyone add a subtopic about his personal life, including his relationship with Jaz Sinclair? ParXivalRPT (talk) 12:04, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It needs to be sourced. Also includes personal info on the talk page. Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:16, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's sourced on Jaz's wiki, if you'd like to import than info over. ParXivalRPT (talk) 14:33, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Source - Singh, Olivia. "A complete timeline of 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' costars Ross Lynch and Jaz Sinclair's relationship". Insider. Retrieved 2023-04-14. - reads too much like WP:GOSSIP. As an editorial choice I don't see this as a long term significant relationship that needs to be documented in the article. Others may disagree. Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:56, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:NOTNEWS, dating histories in and of themselves are unencyclopedic. If there's a marriage or children or shared business venture, etc. (so anything actually notable), then it can be considered for inclusion if properly sourced. But in terms of who is kissing/getting naked with whom, we're not the entertainment press. —Joeyconnick (talk) 19:19, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I will keep that in mind, thank you. ParXivalRPT (talk) 04:24, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Occupations

[edit]

At this point in his career, he is much more notable as a singer, songwriter and musician than an actor, thanks to his success with R5 and The Driver Era. Thus, I think his bio should instead read, "Ross Shor Lynch is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor".

Does anyone agree/disagree? Samuelloveslennonstella (talk) 13:30, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is fine as it is. Order doesn't matter much. Geraldo Perez (talk) 15:49, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine as is. His acting notability is arguably broader than his musical notability. Pretty sure more people watched Sabrina, Teen Beach, Austin & Ally, for example, than have heard of R5 or the Driver Era. —Joeyconnick (talk) 23:55, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization of The Driver Era

[edit]

An edit of mine was undone by someone regarding capitalization of "the" in The Driver Era. Are there any sources anywhere that demonstrate the name is "the Driver Era" as opposed to "The Driver Era"?

Every official source I've seen uses "The Driver Era". Ashprids (talk) 15:18, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:THEBAND goes into this. Basically the "the" in a band name isn't capitalized unless at start of sentence. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:03, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Weird rule. Thanks for clarification! Ashprids (talk) 05:51, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
