Appearances

[edit]

Rose appears in the following episodes:

Season 1

Season 2

Season 3

someone deleted it so i moved it onto here. (I didnt put it on - someone else made it) - Russell29 (talkcontribs) 19:46, 27 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

It was probably me, I have removed a few of those things under WP:NOT. This would be more appropriate at a fan site, such as lostpedia. Algebra man 20:49, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Age

[edit]

When we say that she is 60 years old, are we keeping in mind her birthday in The Whole Truth? --154.20.217.225 04:19, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Healer

[edit]

On Bernard's page the healer is named Issac and here it's Isaac. I can't remember which one is correct but if someone knows, the wrongly written name should be corrected...

I'm not sure what the correct spelling is, but I know it's pronounced "Eye-zik", not "Eye-zay-ik"... Would that Issac?

It's Isaac, according to Lostpedia. Everyoneandeveryone (talk) 23:02, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Henderson

[edit]

Where was it mentioned that Rose's last name was Henderson?

In the Lost magazine. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 14:28, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know what page and issue? User:Sjb121590
Yeah, issue 7, page 26. I'm assuming the magazine is the same in the UK and the U.S. It's the only issue of the magazine I have so I don't know if it's mentioned anywhere else. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 21:46, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I assume that's her maiden name. Does the magazine say anything specific about whether she kept her name when she got married? If not, we don't really know what her last name is at the time of the series, right? --Milo H Minderbinder 14:50, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone scan the page please? --theDemonHog 02:02, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I can scan it but I don't think I can upload it to Wikipedia. It only mentions their significant history, i.e. why they were in Australia, and how she couldn't be healed by Isaac but was healed on the island. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 19:12, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Could you quote the specific part that talks about their last names? Does it specify if she kept her maiden name of Henderson or took Bernard's last name? --Milo H Minderbinder 19:16, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just to clarify, there is a section in the magazine called "Where are they now?" with a page for each character, a bit of their history and where they were last seen at the end of series two. For Rose and Bernard it just says "Name: Rose Henderson and Bernard Nadler", says who plays them, says he's a dentist and that her occupation is unknown, says they were on honeymoon in Australia, then sums up the flashbacks in S.O.S. and says that Rose's cancer was gone when they crashed on the island. That's about it. Nothing about why her name isn't Nadler. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 23:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's definitive enough for me. If the official folks behind the show say it's Henderson, then it's Henderson. --Milo H Minderbinder 23:22, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Season 3

[edit]

Source for last point on the page?

As with others not taken by the Others, why not Rose?

[edit]

If The Others kidnapped people on their list of "good people"...why not Rose, who appears to be a good person, but was left by the Others?

Fair use rationale for Image:Rose Lost.jpg

[edit]

Image:Rose Lost.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Notability problem

[edit]

I think she is one of the most notable characters on the show especially since she and eher husband Bernard Nadler actually had their own flashback episode (S.O.S. (Lost)) with her doing most of the flashbacks. Anyway, I guess its better to merge both articles and turn them into main characters. 23prootie (talk) 08:08, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The image Image:Nadler.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --00:57, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

[edit]

I think Rose Henderson and Bernard's articles should be merged into a single article. Although they are separate during season one and early season, the rest of their arcs are pretty similar and involve each other. Their notability really comes from them being a couple rather than the individual characters. I can't find any information about L. Scott Caldwell or Sam Anderson's casting, so much of their character development overlaps. Critics tend to mention them together other than the odd piece of reception here and there. I've done a mock-up of roughly what it could look like. Sanders11 (talk) 16:12, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the merge. It looks very good.Tintor2 (talk) 17:35, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Support; I like the idea (like Nikki and Paulo) It does seem more notable to have two characters in one if the outside reseources keep referring to both of them in the same way. Sanders11's mock-up certainly looks good also. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 11:37, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Support; the mock up looks great. Liquidluck (talk) 00:58, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to chime in, it does look good, so yeah, keep it. Whippletheduck (talk) 04:54, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I shall be conducting the review today. -- Matthew RD 17:16, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Here's how the article fairs against the GA criteria;

  1. Well written: See notes below.
  2. Factually accurate and verifiable: Plenty of sources, all good. Passed
  3. Broad in coverage: Passed
  4. Neutral: Passed
  5. Stable: No edit wars. Passed
  6. Images: Non-free images has the appropriate tags. Two free images are fine too. Passed.
  • "Rose Nadler (née Henderson) and Bernard Nadler are fictional characters on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) television series Lost played by L. Scott Caldwell and Sam Anderson respectively." I'd like a comma somewhere here, preferably "Lost, played by" in the middle, helps the reader to breathe.
  • Link Australia, and cancer (don't have to link the latter, unless you know what type of cancer she has)
  • "which prompts Rose to reveal she is sick with an illness that went into remission but has now returned." Didn't the lead mention she has cancer? I would like that to replace "an illness."
  • "in order to stop him from wasting any more of the time that they had left together". The arc section up to that point was written in present tense, replace "had" with "have", makes a little more sense.
  • "known to the survivors as Others". Do you mean "the Others"?
  • In the beginning of the arc section, I think it would be best to mention Bernard is a dentist and Rose is... whatever it is she did before the island.
  • "Anderson and Caldwell were given a rough idea of how much the would appear at the start of the seasons." replace "the" with "they".

That's all the issues that need to be addressed. Other than that, good work, it was nice to read. I'll put it on hold until the issues are addressed. -- Matthew RD 17:56, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PS, sorry it took me some time to review this, as I was busy trying to set up a good article myself. -- Matthew RD 17:56, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have addressed all the above concerns. No worries about taking a wee bit of time, it wasn't that long and there was no rush :) Sanders11 (talk) 18:17, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well done, I will pass the article. -- Matthew RD 18:33, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
