Human Gestation
The article states: "In April 1999, Ronaldo married female Brazilian footballer Milene Domingues, at the time pregnant with the couple's first son, Ronald ... The couple had a son, Ronald (born in Milan, on 6 April 2000)." So, my question, women are carrying babies for 12 months now? They married in April 1999, she was pregnant with their first son, and then that first son was born twelve months later. Something is not quite right here. 68.147.179.172 (talk) 21:25, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
Brazil Team Section
someone has vandalized the 1997 team list. please edit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.198.224.166 (talk) 22:31, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Honours section
The honours section only acknowledges the bronze medal at the '96 Olympic Games. Can someone expand this to include the other things he won, especially including the World Cup. I'm unsure whether personal acheivements (Golden Shoe, World player of the year etc.) and domestic competitions won (I'm sure he'll have won the Copa Libertadores, Champions League, national leagues and cups some time in his career) etc. but I know for definite he hasn't just won a bronze in the Atlanta Olympics. Date of birth
According to the article, he was born on September 18th, but is listed on September 22, which is the correct one? On his PlayStation game "Ronaldo V-Football" his bio states that his birthday is September 22 (September 18 is incorrect) The article should be corrected.85.27.11.201 (talk) 11:47, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- See the above talk about Date of Birth, why the confuse.. September 22 is the correct one according to FIFA, Iv'e fixed it now, here is few refs for it aswell, [1] [2]
– HonorTheKing (talk) 12:06, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Please see the section above. His father had to collect money and delayed for 4 days after Ronaldo's birth to register him, so 18 September is the correct one. Matthew_hk tc 16:27, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- And it discussed before, see talk archive. Matthew_hk tc 16:43, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
What proof are there for that the authors statement is true? Is that anthing that has been confirmed by Ronaldo himself? Karbuncle (talk) 19:45, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Surname
His surname is "Nazário de Lima", as his father is "Nélio Nazário de Lima", while his mother is "Sônia dos Santos Barata" aka "Sônia Barata Nazário de Lima". The "Nazário de Lima" may came from the composite of grandfather and grandma surname but no source could verify it. So, Template:Portuguese name isn't suitable. In the article about Ronaldo, the great Brazilian footballer, his birthdate is said to be September 18 1976. However, in the same article in other languages, thebirthdate is Semptember 22.
His official site (http://www.ronaldohome.com/) informs his birthdate as Semptember 22.
Please change the date in the English article and also the informations about Births in the pages of both days
Thanks

The Fifa squad sheet lists his birthday as 22nd September 1976, (http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/germany2006/teams/team=43924.html) the Wikipedia page on 2006 world cup Squad lists his birth date as 22nd Sept as well. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_FIFA_World_Cup_squads#Brazil) I am not sure the source of 18th September as this is the first I have seen it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.203.222.30 (talk) 16:05, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Misplaced edit request
An editor has placed an edit request at template:Soccerbase that I think actually pertains to this article. Template talk:Soccerbase#Edit request from Thetahir1992, 21 May 2011 If someone who knows the subject matter would review his concern, that would be awesome. Diapers During 99 America's Cup Tournament
I don't know for sure how accurate article is as Arabic is not my first language, but I thought someone who cares should take a look and add it if the content is deemed legitimate. KlappCK (talk) 14:25, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

England goal
Article has him down as scoring in le tournoi in 1997. It was Romario that scored that goal in a 1-0 win. Ronald scored during the UMBRO Cup at Wembley in 1995 - a 3-1 win for Brazil. 86.142.50.40 (talk) 19:37, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
Added 22 September birthday
Since virtually every online source has Ronaldo's birth date as 22 September 1976 (including the official FIFA website), it seems absurd to ignore all of it in preference of an offline source that nobody can scrutinize for authenticity. Azzurro2882 (talk) 04:19, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
- Every online source is wrong. His birthday is 18 September, as his official autobiography states, and gives reason for the confusion. SpartanSWAT10 (talk) 06:50, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Dollars?
During his spell at PSV, Ronaldo attracted the attention of both Inter Milan and FC Barcelona. It was Barcelona that was willing to pay the then record fee of $17 million
Why is this in dollars? Barcelona did not pay PSV in dollars. 92.232.213.188 (talk) 14:18, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Legacy
There should be a section of Ronaldo's legacy just like all other great players. For example Zidane in an interview with CNN said without hesitation Ronaldo is the greatest player he has played with or against. "He does things with the ball that is sometimes irritating or even disconcerting" Zidane said. “Ronaldo used to win games by himself, whether easy or difficult. The real Ronaldo has always been a champion for me. Buffon said in an interview with GQ Magazine. “He will always be remembered among the greatest, but he could have been better than anyone, including Pele and Maradona.” Buffon said. Many future generation strikers including Messi,Ibramovic and Benzema have called Ronaldo their idol. Football coaches like Arrigo Sacchi and jose mourinho have argued Ronaldo is the greatest player they have ever seen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jebivid (talk • contribs) 15:21, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

It's most obvious that the section International goals is based on an erroneous source. It should be corrected as stated in the Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation. Dongtaipo (talk) 06:00, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Ronaldo was born on September 22nd. Not the 18th. 71.231.26.73 (talk) 18:26, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. The existing source says born on the 18th and registered on the 22nd. If you have a different source that says otherwise, please provide it. RudolfRed (talk) 00:07, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
Ronaldo didn't get a goal vs Norway in 1997
The goals for Brazil in that match were scored by Romario and Djalminha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JhAHvGB32Y — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.167.232.190 (talk) 16:41, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

Typo in "Career statistics" section
The second-to-last heading in the "Club"" table is spelled "Orher" instead of "Other".
