Please Clarify

It is missing citations or footnotes. Added inline citations. links to web pages

It is written like an advertisement and needs to be rewritten from a neutral point of view. What do we need to do here to correct this. References to websites with additional pictures, dates, facts.

It has few or no links to other articles. How many links to outside articles do you suggest?

It may need copy editing for grammar, style, cohesion, tone or spelling. I see no problems with spelling nor grammar. Tone and style is factual. Some information was rewritten from earlier Internet documentation, other from interviews with Rev. Myers. Abbreviation used are those used by organization. Looked at other Wikipedia articles such as Jesse Jackson for direction and guidance.

It may need to be wikified to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. ?

Need assistance in inserting photographs. What license or releases does he need to approve for acceptance, please advise.

There is currently a national grassroots campaign to have Juneteenth Independence Day recognized as holiday. Currently recognized in 36 states. Trying to place information on Modern Juneteenth Movement without being political. Rev Myers is the logical place to start as the recognized leader for the past 20 years. Conflict of Interest

The primary author of this article appears to be someone closely associated with the subject (e.g. indicating that he created the article to help advance the subject's activities, and asking what releases the subject would need to sign to allow photographs to be used). While there's every indication that he did so in good faith, and sought to do so within Wikipedia rules, a conflict of interest exists.

The next-most-involved editor of this article appears to be the subject himself. This is simply not appropriate, and has been noted on the COI noticeboard. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 00:45, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

The original creator of the article – who collaborated with the subject to create the article, over the course of several days – has confirmed (in a rather self-promotional fashion) that she is a close associate of the subject. The article exists as an exercise in (self)promotion. The subject is notable enough that I don't think the article should be deleted on those grounds, but neither editor should edit it. -Jason A. Response by National Juneteenth leader to false claim of "he created the article to help advance the subject's activities"

When an African American grass roots activist leader, seriously concerned about the historic accuracy of a movement of significance to black people, commemorating our legacy of going from the belly of slave ships, to enslavement and freedom on the "19th of June", Juneteenth Independence Day, is accussed of adding contact to the Juneteenth Wikipedsia page to "advance the subject's activities", is not only an insult, but an afront to the integrity of the leadership of "Modern Juneteenth Movement" in America.

My concern right now is to do all that I can to make sure our story, the "Modern Juneteenth Movement", an African American grass roots advocacy movement, like the Civil Rights Movement and the modern day Reparations Movement, is accurately posted on the Juneteenth Wikipedia page according to Wikipedsia policies and standards.

At this point in time, I want nothing more or nothing less. I forgive you for your insults and attribute them to the cultuiral bias of America's dominant culture, which is not African American.

BTW, is there a group of African American Wikipedia editors I can communicate with? I'm sure it would be very helpful in getting more black folks interested in Wikipedia.

Mr. Myers' race-based accusations are unwarranted, unfair, and untrue. If he persists in these kinds of personal attacks, I will initiate Dispute Resolution. While he is temporarily blocked from editing, I am making an attempt to bring this article into compliance with Wikipedia policies, hoping that he'll eventually understand that a neutral, objective article about him presents him in a better light than the one he co-authored did. -Jason A. Nominate for deletion

This is clearly a vanity article written by the doctor himself. This doctor has since been accused of running a "pill mill" out of his office which can be traced back to a few difference sources.
