Roman Freulich did not escape the Holocaust as the article states. He immigrated to the US in 1912 according to his Daughter Joan Abramson's biographical articles, and visited Poland to see relatives in 1938, urging them to also immigrate, which they did not do.

He returned in 1938 to the US, which is the reason that the US Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC has the photographs from that trip. His 1938 return precedes the Holocaust. Although several members of his Family were presumed killed at the Chelmo Death Camp, according to research by his Daughter Joan Abramson, Roman was safe in the United States along with 3 other members of his Family who had immigrated to the US. Roman was not among those that were killed.

The reference cited includes the statement that he had "survived" the Holocaust. Again, this phrase is also untrue. The statement is presented without any citation or elaboration. An unproven statement. Hyper hippie (talk) 19:12, 17 March 2022 (UTC) Murray Matzner[reply]
