Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (Also, should I just change the way the film is described? Is that the issue? I am really confused why this is flagged. Please advise. ) --Adjinwis (talk) 23:04, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, it's largely copied from the sources cited. If it weren't largely copied from other sources, then there wouldn't be a concern over copyright infringement. And even with permission (see WP:Donating copyrighted material), Wikipedia is for neutrally written, disinterested reference articles, not copies of public relations content. - I'm trying to see whether the film would meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines, particularly the general ones and the ones pertaining to films. I'm not really seeing substantial coverage in appreciable amounts in independent reliable sources. Most of the sources you supplied are brief mentions or simple listings associated with local film festivals. I'm not finding too much beyond those through Google. The copy is updated. There are some minor sources I agree but the Milwaukee Journal, Isthmus , Wisconsin Gazette all have done full stories on the documentary, they are much more than just listings. There is also a TV interview by the film's director cited. What are reliable sources if those are not? (Adjinwis (talk) 02:35, 14 September 2017 (UTC))
