Book
[edit]I found (on the Steuben County Historical Society page) a recent book on western New York railroads and I've put in an ILL request.
Thanks for writing this. It's a pleasant surprise.
This region (Steuben Ciunty) is where I grew up. deisenbe (talk) 15:47, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
- Very cool, Deisenbe It will be great to see what you can add from the Steuben County Historical Society's book!!!–CaroleHenson (talk) 16:18, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
Use of "Company"
[edit]Deisenbe, I see that there are a number of red links for railroad companies with "Company" in the name/title throughout the article now. Per Choess, "Company" should not be in the article title name. See the move of this article, where he said "we don't usually include "Company" in the title of articles about railroads)".
Just a heads up so that articles aren't created with the red links and later need to be moved.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:53, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
P.S. I saw your tag for explanation - I will find better wording from the annual reports.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:53, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
- Deisenbe, As an FYI, and I think it's pretty much personal preference, a redirect can be used in the article to which it refers. Yep, it makes a bright link... but people may see it and decide to create the article.
- In the meantime, the redirect helps get people to this page where there is related content.–CaroleHenson (talk) 20:23, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
