Bringing over into English biographies of Belgian personalities is not always easy. I have tried to adjust the one on Robert de Foy as objectively as possible. His personality and history is well known to me and I am the author of the article on him in Dutch. Unfortunately I had to conclude that the English article was in part constituted by erroneous translations of this article (and with rather many grammatical corrections to be made) and in part by additions which were not really to the point in this article, too obscure to be understood by non-specialists and not placed in good chronological order. Not that I claim that everything is now correct and that nothing more can be said about De Foy, but at least I think this gives now a more objective image of the man, leaving out comments which are not really needed in the context of this article. I hope I did not offend other users, and are open to discussion on the matter. Andries Van den Abeele (talk) 13:50, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
