Requested move
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was not moved. Apparently still known by his pre-titular name. --rgpk (comment) 20:20, 6 March 2011 (UTC) Robert Edmiston → Robert Edmiston, Baron Edmiston. Relisted in hopes of more participation. Orlady (talk) 05:27, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose - Known for being a wealthy chrisitan philanthropist and not as a peer. Also no disambiguation is required for this article title.--Lucy-marie (talk) 17:07, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support. WP:NCPEER is quite clear. This chap is no longer wholly or exclusively known by his pre-peerage nomenclature. Kittybrewster ☎ 15:15, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support. Former businessmen who have been ennobled are almost invariably known by their titles thereafter. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:35, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment - This is not a Crystal Ball and what they are currently known is what we have to take as the current commonly used name. If in the future the individual is known regularly by their ennobled title then that would be grounds to change the article title. To though say, it is expected that the names they are known by will change is not how things work on Wikipeida.--Lucy-marie (talk) 17:33, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose, no disambiguation necessary, and far better known as Robert than Baron.--Kotniski (talk) 12:09, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Extensive edits by I/P in June 2014 removing properly cited info ..without edit summary
[edit]I'm about to revert to an April 2014 version by Keith D removing a number of edits which don't seem to follow the rules on WP:NPOV, wp:editorialising and have removed properly cited wp:rs. I'll add a welcome message to the I/P talk page as he may wish to contribute further once he understands the rules. I'll re-add one subsequent July edit. 14:02, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
