Update tag
[edit]I'm marking this with an update tag, because it's not clear from how it's written that Bobb is no longer the emergency manager of DPS (and according to the emergency manager website, the emergency manager has been Jack Martin since 2013). For instance, its use of tense in some areas at least suggests that Bobb still holds the position ("has issued layoff notices", "Bobb is also proposing", "which will give him or other managers the power"). I'm fixing those that I find, but it's concerning that there's no information about what Bobb has done since leaving DPS.
As an aside, I'm ever so slightly concerned about the phrasing of the sentence in the lede, which says "In addition to being employed by the school district, he receives a salary...". When I first read it, I got the impression that it was trying to suggest Bobb's simultaneous involvement with the private foundations was improper (and that is precisely what the Forbes blog piece to which that statement is sourced is doing). I admit, I came to this article having recently watched A National Disgrace, which itself puts Bobb's efforts in a glowing light, but I don't think it's entirely correct from a WP:NPOV standpoint to give such prominence to that information while sourcing it to an op-ed on a blog written by someone who primarily writes about gamer culture. —/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 00:18, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
