"seafaring blood"/location

[edit]

The article (which i suspect has been edited by someone in the know so i'll kind of trust it) says he was born in Somerset, but various sources say he is "from" Brighton. Can we get a source for his birth being in Somerset and then add one suggesting he lives in Brighton? Even if we can get sources showing he's lived in these two seaside places, and has "seafaring" relatives, i'm not sure that last peice of info is encyclopedic... auditioned for Cedric?

[edit]

The article did say "He was originally up for the role of Cedric, but did not get the part." that would be a very interesting fact if it were true. Anyone got a source? Amo 16:45, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Amateur stage roles

[edit]

Anyone got any evidence of professional stage work to his name? I certainly can't find anything on the web about the East Side Theatre Company, and the NYT isn't professional...Amo 12:03, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

True facts?

[edit]

People in here have way too much information, uh? I mean, someone knows when and where Robbie was born and some other facts about his life that were in the previous editions of this page. I didn't see the confirmation about the day he was born, and it's still here. There are at least three places that people say Robbie was born. How can we be so sure that he *really* was born in Somerset? Did he say it? Did his agency say it? Do you know him? And now there's this thing about Robbie being an amateur actor... If NYT isn't professional, than yes, he's an amateur. But it shouldn't matter. A little bit of experience is better than none. User: Luna 23 May 2006

Well, personally i don't think that only having amateur experience is a negative thing, so i don't think that that "matters" in the sense i think you mean. I agree that we don't have many sourced facts about him and i've been thinking of going through the official stufff that has been announced and properly sourcing it. I'd also been thinking that beginning the article with "actor who will make his professional debut in..." to clarify exactly why the article is so short. Amo 18:22, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The History Boys

[edit]

What kind of voice work is he going to do in The History Boys? I didn't understand why a live action movie needs some "additional voices", so if anyone can explain it to me... =) 21 July 2006

It may well be stuff that was recorded afterwards to substitute for dialouge/whatever that didn't record well on set. it may be crowd voices. it may be some sort of voiceover. Amo 23:44, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it could be the last option, but I wasn't sure... And I didn't know these "additional voices" were credited. This movie has lots of them too... But thanks for the answer ;) 22 July 2006

School

[edit]

I went to school with Robbie Jarvis, in a town called Littlehampton. He was in the same year as me, I took a few classes with him. Am I a reliable source? :) He lived and went to school in Littlehampton while I was there, but since I left to go to university I don't know if he moved or not. Littlehampton is quite close to Brighton, so perhaps that's why people think he is from Brighton.

Middle name/Genie in the House

[edit]

According to his agency website, his name is Robert Dean-Jarvis, even though accordig to some research I did, there is no Robert Dean-Jarvis. It's just my guess that he's Robert Stephen Jarvis, because of the birthdate.

According to his agency website again and to IMDB, Robbie played Billy in the episode Out of Our Minds in Genie in the House. I can't say for sure that it's true because I don't watch the show, but I guess these sites are reliable sources.

The website, so you can see with your own eyes: http://www.jackiepalmer.co.uk/management_resume_details.asp?id=118&col=B

Unless this isn't the same Robbie Jarvis.

Keen?

[edit]

Is keen the correct wording for being involved in football and basketball? Isn't that opinionized, just a bit? Basketball110 (talk) 04:27, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
