There is another Rob Wainwright. Should this article be moved to Robert Wainwright? -- Wo st 01 (talk | rate) 06:59, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Requested move 3 August 2015
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: moved to Rob Wainwright (rugby union) and Rob Wainwright will be redirected to the dab page. No consensus to move the civil servant. Jenks24 (talk) 07:33, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- Rob Wainwright → Rob Wainwright (rugby union)
- Rob Wainwright (civil servant) → Rob Wainwright (Europol)
– An image search on Rob Wainwright indicates, if anything, more coverage for the Europol civil servant who may have increased in notability after taking the role in counteracting terrorist social media propaganda. Rob Wainwright can redirect to Robert Wainwright GregKaye 05:12, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
- Per WP:CONSISTENCY, "player" is generally not used. I took it out. --George Ho (talk) 22:13, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
- Neutral as to primary topic but oppose moving the other Rob Wainwright. The disambiguator is supposed to described what someone is (see WP:NCPDAB) and he isn't a Europol. He's not even a police officer. He's a civil servant or an administrator. The sports projects have decided they should be exceptions as they consider it to be too verbose to add "player" all the time, but for everyone else it's fine. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:15, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- Would be happy for this to move to Rob Wainwright (rugby union), but would oppose moving Rob Wainwright (civil servant). I would be happy for Rob Wainwright to redirect to Robert Wainwright (the disambiguation page). There are five Rob or Robert Wainwrights so that makes sense. -- Shudde talk 08:31, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
