Moved to Ritual and music system per consensus below to rename and per WP:OTHEROPTIONS. There is no prejudice if editors want to begin a new move request at any time if a better title were to emerge. Thanks and kudos to editors for your input; everyone stay healthy! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'r there 00:19, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
Ritual Music System → Ritual and Music System – Much more google results, might be the established name in research. Immanuelle 💗 (please tag me) 16:05, 22 September 2022 (UTC)— Relisting. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:19, 30 September 2022 (UTC)

- I'd support Ritual and music system: most sources use lowercase, so per MOS:CAPS we should do the same. I agree with the nom that "and" appears to be most common in the sources. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 20:32, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
@Audacity: is this something that you might be able to provide insight into? --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:05, 30 September 2022 (UTC)

Article makes no sense
[edit]This article's scope makes very little sense. Aside from the weak prose, confusing formatting and bad sourcing issues, the entire "Predecessors" section is far out of this article's scope, the "Later history" section is essentially a badly written history of all Chinese music after the Zhou dynasty and half of the "Zhou Institution" is on Dance. There is actually only one paragraph in the article which discusses the use of music in Zhou ritual (the last paragraph of the Zhou Institution), which is, of course, completely uncited. The Spring and Autumn Period reactions is even more of a mess, and a "Dance used for politics in the PRC" section—are you kidding me??? Aza24 (talk) 21:05, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
