Two 'not in citation' tags were added (see [1]). However, the facts stated are found in those refs. In the case of Jemera Rone, p. 338, the ref refers to the footnote 700 "700 Brig. Gen. Gatluak Deng was removed from his positions in late 2002 by President El Bashir, and former state governor Riek Gai was appointed head of the SSCC". In the case of Riek Gai being from Chieng Dak, the ref is "b2", i.e. Young, John. Sudan People's Liberation Army: Disarmament in Jonglei and Its Implications. p. 4; "...and Dr. Riek Gai a senior official in the National Congress Party, all hail from the Chieng Dak...".
