Slovenia, Uruguay, Cape Verde, Etc.
[edit]Although Ricochet is first and foremost about politics, it entertains all manner of content (while strictly enforcing its code of conduct, most notably the no-pottymouth and no-personal-attacks clauses of that code). A search of its site for "Slovenia" yields at least 4 pages of hits, at least 40 of which deal directly with that country. Not that anyone anywhere, even in Slovenia itself, just casually mentions the place. If you're interested in it at all, you will want to read about its borders, its language, its cuisine (other than dormice), its railways, its roadways, its wars (it won the last one in just 10 days), its navy (it has one), its music (there is some), and its mosque (there may be one). Ricochet is a good place to start.
"Uruguay" and "Cape Verde" have been nearly as fertile. As for "Guinea-Bissau," Ricochet may not hold an English-language monopoly on the subject but it's pretty close. That there is, at least in the U.S., no political hay to be made off these places testifies to the depth of the website's interests and broadness of its appeal.
Be however warned: a search of Ricochet for Dungpattistan, Enchantmentkillastan, Lowiqandpoorimpulsecontrolistan, or WP:SOWHAT will also yield hits. Jahutter (talk) 12:38, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
