Segment on This American Life

[edit]

This is just a note for future editing reference. The Dec 28 2018 episode of This American Life includes a segment on The Brautigan Library. Several useful items on there, including the reciprocated inspirations between Brautigan and W. P. Kinsella, the author behind Field of Dreams. jxm (talk) 00:00, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changing "committed suicide" to "died by suicide"

[edit]

Suicide prevention advocates are encouraging the replacement of the phrase "committed suicide" with the phrase "died by suicide". So I have made this change in this article. You can read about the motivation here. Cheers! Doctormatt (talk) 18:01, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, my edited was reverted. Oh, well. I tried. Doctormatt (talk) 04:03, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also, Suicide_terminology has a lot of thoughts on this. Doctormatt (talk) 23:21, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Matt- I did that revert while undoing a bunch of edits by a disruptive IP user. See here: User_talk:70.66.184.251. Please revert my edit if you feel the article was better before. Eric talk 00:21, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will revert to "died by suicide". Cheers! Doctormatt (talk) 01:33, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
