The name (was)is also a slang for menstruation, given the slang meaning of the word "fish" in serbian for "girl", "chick", etc... I think it should be included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PrimEviL (talk • contribs) 14:35, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Riblja Čorba → Riblja čorba – "Riblja čorba" (not "Čorba") is in accordance with Serbian orthography. This spelling is also seen on their records (see: [1]) Vanjagenije (talk) 15:27, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Against. The names of bands are a specific case. I'm asking the user which requested move to find a passage about the names of bands in any Serbian orthography book - which he won't be able to do, because there isn't any. During the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, magazines and books usually featured names written with only the first word written with capital letter. In the last twenty years, most of the magazines, books etc. feature names written in the accordance with Western orthography. When it comes to Riblja Čorba - Vanjagenije said that their name written in this manner can be found on their records, however, their logo is written without capital letters, but, besides the fact that band is, in various webzines, reffered to as Riblja Čorba, with capital Č (see here, here, and here), the band's official website features their name written with capital Č. Additionaly, the band is often reffered to as Čorba only, as Riblja is an adjective. Ostalocutanje (talk) 18:30, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Against. As with the move of the articles Električni Orgazam and Korni Grupa, I disagree as band names belong to the domain of popular culture and are not necessarily in accordance with linguistic rules of any language. For example Motörhead is not spelled right and should not be phonetically pronounced the way it does with this umlaut, not to mention that English language does not have umlauts in its alphabet. I am using the same argument in the other two discussions. --Milosppf (talk) 19:23, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Comment WP:Use English. this is the English Wikipedia, it should use English grammar. 65.94.47.63 (talk) 04:05, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. Riblja Čorba is obviously written using Serbian alphabet. The issue is, should it also be spelled using Serbian orthography (i.e. lowercase <č>). I think this is largely the matter of convention, but our Manual of Style seems to be silent on the issue (or at least, I can not find it). Without such guidance, I think that English orthography should be used, and "Riblja Čorba", "Električni Orgazam" etc. treated just as any other band title. I think that it also conforms with the principle of least surprise for English readers. No such user (talk) 06:41, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- P.S. Such requests should be rather handled simultaneously, in a single RM. Either they all should go Title Case, or all Sentence case. No such user (talk) 06:41, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- Comment: The Manual of style is not silent. The rules on capitalization are given in WP:MOSCAPS, and it says: "If possible, use rules appropriate to the cultural and linguistic context." So, it means that when writing in Serbian, Serbian language rules have to be respected. Serbian orthography is clear on this matter. "Pravopis srpskog jezika" (Ortography of Serbian Language) published by Matica srpska in 2010. says in rule 63v (page 66) that the "names of organizations, associations, artistic groups, schools of thought, and sport clubs and organizations are written with first letter of the first word capitalized." In the examples section (page 67), this example is given: "Leb i sol" and the explanation "muzički sastav" (musical ensemble) is given in the parenthesis. So, the situation is clear: according to Serbian (and Serbo-Croat) orthography, the names of musical ensembles are written with only first letter of the first word capitalized, and official Wikipedia policy is to use Serbian language rules when writing Serbian names. User:Ostalocutanje points that the official web site uses "Riblja Čorba", which is true, but aren't their records more important than the web site? On the records, when the logo is not used, and when the name is not written with all letters capitalized, it is almost always written with only the first letter capitalized. See these photos: [2][3][4][5][6][7] (on the every record You can see the words Aranžmani "Riblja čorba") and [8] ("Riblja čorba"). Vanjagenije (talk) 08:38, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- As linguistics is my field of expertise, I must say that using the Pravopis srpskoga jezika is improper here because the changes that have been made in this "new version" of the Serbian orthography are in several cases so illogical that I personally do not think they would ever be used. The reactions to the Pravopis have been mostly negative among both the professors and students at my university, and we are all expecting a revised edition as soon as possible. Bear this in mind when you opt for pro or con. --Milosppf (talk) 11:57, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

- Since linguistics is my field of expertise as well, I can tell you that all editions of Pravopis since at least 1960 had that same rule. So, sorry, using the argument that your colleagues don't like the new Pravopis is just hand-waving.
Since we, I think, established what Serbian Orthography says, we need to discard that and find what English orthography says, since Serbian one should not be binding in an English text. And, since there's no single English orthography, we need to rely on current Wikipedia practice. Thanks to Vanja for finding that MoS entry, but sorry, I still think it's too vague to be actually useful. I still think that using Title Case in English text conforms to the principle of least surprise, and is common across Wikipedia, even for titles from other languages using the same convention as Serbo-Croatian.
