Reuben College
[edit]The official name is now Reuben College as confirmed by the Gazettes of 11 June[1] and 25 June[2]. The new name was put to a "meeting" of Congregation on 30 June to be approved by the Vice-Chancellor as no opposition was received and the college website, https://www.parkscollege.ox.ac.uk/, is now (1 July) branded Reuben College. The article could probably be moved shortly, ideally with a less obscure reference than two issues of the Gazette. TSventon (talk) 22:16, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

Academic focus updates
[edit]In November 2020, the College's Governing Body agreed to add a fourth academic theme of "Ethics and Values" to its research focus, in part to better incorporate academics from the Humanities and Social Sciences Divisions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allyox (talk • contribs) 06:53, 3 August 2021 (UTC)

Two questions
[edit]As a sometime user of the Radcliffe Science Library, and in particular its underground "stack", I have two questions:
- Where will all the science books go?
- How will the college use the very large and windowless stack?

- User:Jonathan A Jones or User:Allyox, can you answer this for Maproom? TSventon (talk) 14:20, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- 1. Not sure, but I believe that some are remaining on site in the above ground sections, and the rest are going to the stacks in Swindon. 2. I believe that the underground portions of the RSL are being transferred to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History as storage space. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 15:37, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you. There's a lot of space down there; using it to store dinosaur skeletons makes sense. Maproom (talk) 10:25, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
