Merge proposal
[edit]What do you think about merging this article with Main Street Republicans? --Checco 17:58, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, and the merged article should be at the official name of the group. —Nightstallion 11:54, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. The name of this article should be the name of the article after the merge. --Checco 12:05, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't know, Main Street Republicans has two other definitions. ←BenB4 17:47, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Liberal conservatives
[edit]So I'm not sure why liberal conservativism is there. I looked at the history and someone just placed it there with no sources. It could be possible that they simply misunderstood what the term means, because it doesn't mean moderate conservative or liberal Republican, it refers to a conservative that favors laissez-faire or free market economics. This is in contrast to more aristocratic or economically nationalistic forms of conservativism. I think it should just be deleted, but I'd rather hear what everyone else thinks first. Thank you AlexanderLevian (talk) 06:24, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
- It should be deleted. Good job on the sources for 'center-right' BTW. Toa Nidhiki05 14:23, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
Governors?
[edit]Is there no sitting governor, who is a member? Charlie Baker and Bruce Rauner for example are very moderate Republicans. --Jerchel (talk) 09:48, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
The Main Street Partnership currently has no sitting governors. It is a Congressional organization, a coalition of Members of the House and Senate. --BryanpRMSP 17:49, 15 March 2017
Page Up to Date
[edit]I have gone through and updated information on this page based on the organizations most recent website updates.[1] The group also has a new logo that needs updating. I am requesting the issues message template be removed. --BryanpRMSP (talk) 21:59, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
