First, if it's the same material, mass per volume should not change
Second,nano particles atricles often state that the principal change for properties id due to surface volume ratio tha is increased.
I would rather write:
"This is due in part to the fact that the surface to volume ratio increases of several orders of magnitude. Stated differently, for a same mass of bulk material, there is much more surface available for interaction" Longoria91 (talk) 15:31, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
