Gallery
[edit]Can we add a gallery that shows renderings? (68.199.35.102 02:35, 25 July 2007 (UTC))
No becuase that would be a Fair Use Image violation.-- bulletproof 3:16 02:43, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Picture?
[edit]Can someone post a pic of the stadium? (I'm not sure about the licensing part.) Thanks!da bum 21:54, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Park, not Arena
[edit]It was, but now it's Arena[2]. I'm going to move this to Red Bull Arena (New Jersey) to differentiate from the original. SixFourThree (talk) 20:29, 19 August 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree
- Decided that Red Bull Arena (MLS) made more sense, but in the interests of clarity (not to mention matching the reference links), I think we should use the old stadium name in sections relating to that time. SixFourThree (talk) 16:34, 21 August 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree

[edit]I added the rendering.

Article name?
[edit]I understand that this article has to be distinguished from the Red Bull Arena article, but there are a couple of problems with putting MLS in parentheses. First, there is a general rule to avoid abbreviations in article names. Second, presumably there will be other events besides MLS games at the arena.
I suggest changing the name to Red Bull Arena (Harrison). This is unambiguous and has precedent (see Toyota Center (Houston) and Toyota Center (Kennewick)). —D. Monack talk 07:19, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Done The move has been made. —D. Monack talk 02:42, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- Unlike Houston and even Kennewick, the hamlet of Harrison is hardly well-known. Strongly recommend move to Red Bulls Arena (New Jersey). --AuthorityTam (talk) 18:49, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Upcoming fixtures is unnecessary
[edit]The listing of upcoming events is inappropriate in Wikipedia. I plan on removing it in 24 hours unless there is a good reason to keep it. Milchama (talk) 21:48, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- as shown by the entry below the information contained in the list is important to convey the history of the sports venue. Not all of the events were NY Red Bulls league games and information on the first game, first goal, and perhaps a summary of the first season could helpful for readers seeking information on this facility. I agree that the whole list does not need to appear, but some of the information is still valuable and I think it could be pared down to a better historical snapshot summary, hence I restored the info to allow someone to carry out such edits. 67.86.75.96 (talk) 02:29, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Its not unnecessary. Keep it! Pelmeen10 (talk) 13:46, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I agree it should go. Wikipedia is not an events listing. Any important information, such as who scored the first goal, should be included in a short prose summary. There's no reason for this page to be updated weekly to reflect the latest results, as most are irrelevant to the overall, short history of the venue.oknazevad (talk) 00:15, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- As the section actually contained no information other than the scores of all the games, including the ones already mentioned innthe body text of the article, I decided to be bold and removed the chart. oknazevad (talk) 00:23, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- Why was that information bad? Does it take so much "valuable" space? We could see when the games were, and would be. And the score is not so important. Pelmeen10 (talk) 12:46, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- Did you read the policy I linked to in my previous post? And also it's a recentism issue, as these games are purely non-notable in the long run, for the most part. It's not like the stadium is going to be torn down after only one year of use.
- While one of the strengths of Wikipedia is that it can be updated when neccessay, it is still an encyclopedia, and should not contain guides or schedules that need to be updated regularly, unless the article is specifically about an ongoing event. This is the article about an existing, fully constructed building. It is not an ongoing event (as opposed to the 2010 New York Red Bulls season article, which is an ongoing event, and the correct place for most of this information). This article is simply the wrong place for the info. oknazevad (talk) 16:24, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

More info?
[edit]Maybe there should be more info/new section about the opening games and first goal? Pelmeen10 (talk) 11:10, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
