This is a short story to tell about the most famous hit in the Cleveland mafia - a hit that pretty much ended the mafia family in the city. If it hadn't been for Ray Ferritto getting caught, and that he switched side, the mob wouldn't be dead in the city for many years as it did.--Oslo76 20:46, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really think this article meets the CSD criteria for patent nonsense, although it could use some cleanup and sources. Geoffrey Spear 21:03, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bad article

[edit]

I didn't even read it all but I can tell this is a very poorly written article that has hardly any citings except that one at the bottom. If you knew anything about this person you would have more citings from the literature and documentary. He was a hitman who was hired by Cleveland in exchange to become a made member in the mafia (Cleveland family), what Ray wanted desperately his whole life. He was working in LA at the time and was thrilled at the chance to become a made member, thus started tracking Greene. He was already a hitman in LA at the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.206.206.200 (talk) 01:32, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I also never saw it mentioned once that Ray would have become a made member after the hit, which went bad because the bomb was used. One of the alternate methods Ray came up with was assasination via sniper, which did not pan out, thus the remote controlled bomb was used. When the bomb was used, the publicity of the killing was way to high, and since it was in broad daylight, his car was spotted. Ray's associates did not like what was going on, and were planing the demise of Ray in the process, thus it was easy for Ray to choose to flip. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.206.206.200 (talk) 01:39, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

However...if you want the real story...you will find it in a recently released biography written by his widow, Susan DeSantis Ferritto in, "FERRITTO An Assassin Scorned" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.9.201.140 (talk) 14:02, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
