[edit]What's the reference for Meastro as producer, and who is Meastro? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Waitingfordresdetox (talk • contribs) 15:56, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
It is produced by Maestro. --Flesh-n-Bone 18:58, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]You people need to read the sources you cite. The current souce that was used is this one. I did not find any release date for this album neither for the track listing. I suggest we should discuss the sources in this talk page before adding it to the article. Tasc0 It's a zero! 23:03, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- The release date was on another source that was sitting in front of the release date. Look @ the rapsearch source: "The disc, which is set to hit shelves on June 17, will be the follow-up to Cube's 2006 release Laugh Now, Cry Later and will be the rapper's ninth solo project." --Flesh-n-Bone (talk·contributions) 13:47, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- And the tracklisting is on reference #6.Lajbi Holla @ me 14:27, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- I can swear that this source [1] has changed, there was no release date for this album yesterday, I even remember a picture of Ice Cube being there.. I wonder why's that.
- Regarding the source for track listing, it's empty. Tasc0 It's a zero! 22:57, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

- Rap-up tends to remove it's articles a few days after publishment (maybe to encourage the sales of the printed version or just it depends on internet country code from which you are accessing). That's why there's an access date after the link provided. So there are at least two of us wikipedians who swear there was an album review with the tracklist. Lajbi Holla @ me 07:40, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- If there's no content, it can't be used as source. Tasc0 It's a zero! 22:12, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

- There are hundreads of articles with dead links. Do you wanna delete them all. But I doubt that the rule goes like you said. If a link worked sometime in the past, it could be used as link later, if there's a retrieve date (10 years passes and half of the links at wikipedia will be down, internet works like this). It is the same as with printed newspapers, they are only available for a day/week/month, after you can only buy the next issue. But if someone owns a copy for - let's say - 5 years now, and wants it to use as reference, he/she just indicates, which year/issue it is from, and that's it. And you can't access it since it's unavailable but still relevant. Come on man, use pure logic. I don't want to get an administrator every time you question something. If you get me a WP:THIS / WP:OR THAT, than I'll believe you, but that's the last time I step down. Or start reasoning. "It can't be used...", "I think it's a copyvio..." is not a proof.
And in this very case, I'm 100% sure that the same content can be found on the printed version of Rap-Up. Go on and buy one at the nearest store. If not than trust the info published 3 days ago!! (even if it's not public any more).Lajbi Holla @ me 09:24, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Yo alle the info about the album is on the official websit www.icecube.com, so what is all this about references and release dates?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Waitingfordresdetox (talk • contribs) 20 April 2008
- Lajbi, you can't use something that's empty as a source. It's not my fault they deleted it. You can search a cached version of the web site, that's all I can think of. Tasc0 It's a zero! 22:35, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
another single
[edit]There's another track from the album available at dubcnn.com called "it takes a nation"68.164.84.157 (talk) 05:10, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thant song leaked and not released as a single. Tasc0 It's a zero! 22:38, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Maybe not released as a single but it was leaked BY Ice Cube. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.166.188.224 (talk) 03:58, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Still not a proper single. Tasc0 It's a zero! 15:43, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
It was also released on Itunes, like the first single. If not a single, its definitely a song that's going to be on the album and should be included69.3.28.241 (talk) 06:35, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Tasc0 "It Takes A Nation" and "Do Ya Thang" are single's and are just as likely to make it to the album if not more likely so why do you remove every reference to them? Ice cube has even made a music video for "Do Ya Thang".Front2back (talk) 22:37, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- "Do Ya Thang" it is listed as single. The second song you named it's not. That's because the track was leaked to the Internet and not released as a proper single. Tasc0 It's a zero! 22:48, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
is june the 17th
[edit]... still the release date, his myspace site states august the 19th? Is it not updated or is the album delayed further? // Knarris —Preceding comment was added at 18:11, 19 May 2008 (UTC) As I now see he was last online 5/16/2008, I have to assume it's updated, for now... I'll change it.
- MySpace it's not a reliable source. Tasc0 It's a zero! 22:44, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Tracklist
[edit]Hey the I was sceptic to about the tracklist on [[2]], cuz it didn't had a source. But this tracklist was put on wikipedia way bofore It Takes A Nation and Do Your Thang leaked. This tracklist already guessed 2 tracks right. Isn't this enough to assume this is the real tracklist? Waitingfordresdetox 21:22 may 28 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.155.209.191 (talk) 19:26, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Somebody wrote a track list earlier but it wasn't done out in boxes or anything.. I cleaned it up, it was my 1st time doing a track list and it took me ages.... I think that track list should be left there as this is supposed to provide information for people and I think it should really be provided, its not as if we're saying its the final tracklisting. There's no harm in having it there. Dillon90 18 June 2008
Release Date
[edit]Has anyone one heard anything about the release date lately. I don't think it has actuall been CONFIRMED that its out on June 17th. Dillon90 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dillon90 (talk • contribs) 5 June 2008.
It Says August 19 on his myspace page
It's the 19th of June now and it's still unreleased. Can someone please find a approval source that confirms the real release date? --Knarris (talk) 00:29, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Why does the release date say June 17th? I'm putting in TBA for now because thats misleading. And how come his MySpace isnt a reliable source? Dillon90 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dillon90 (talk • contribs) 00:44, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Urgent
[edit]This is supposed to be for people's convenience, for people that come on here to see the release date they're going to think this will be out this Tuesday (June 17th), which it most likely isn't because Ice Cube hasn't said anything about it in months and hasn't promoted it as of yet. I just wrote unconfirmed beside the release date so that people know it isn't definite. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dillon90 (talk • contribs) 14:40, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
A counter argument, on Ice Cube's official website, it says he's doing a show in L.A. on June 21st, Could this mean that he is releasing it this week? Also I was watching an interview from a few months ago where he states he doesn't care about commercial success with the album. So he may be sticking by that by not promoting it. Either way, this needs to be sorted out ASAP Dillon90
It will not be out on the 17th. There isn't enough information floating around right now. I would go with his offical myspace date saying it's going to be released on August 19th. SE KinG (talk) 00:59, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Track List
[edit]Why was the track list published by Rap-Up removed?? There are some real IDIOTS on here.. Why not have it?? I will stress it again.. This is supposed to provide info for people, and that was good information.. There was no harm in having it there.. Dillon90 19 June '08
- We can't add unreliable content. Considering the album hasn't been released yet, and the track listing can be officially changed at any time, it's better to wait until the album is released and then add a track listing. Tasc0 It's a zero! 17:38, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Confirmed tracks
[edit]Can you people stop adding this content? These songs ARE NOT confirmed. They are just singles and leaked songs. The singles go in the infobox. A track listing will be included to the article when the album is officially released. Tasc0 It's a zero! 00:04, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
I haven't done it lately but I just want to know, why hasn't Do Ya Thang been mentioned anywhere on the page? It has a video and everything. Dillon90 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dillon90 (talk • contribs) 01:07, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- I just added it as single (see infobox). I'm not sure if the date I used is the correct one. Please feel free to edit it if it is wrong. Tasc0 It's a zero! 02:09, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- Tasc0, you have done a great job staying on top of this page man. good job. the only thing i have to ask is, why not put singles as confirmed tracks. singles are 99% on the album b/c singles attract attention to the album (radio spins) so im sure Ice cube is not going to release Do Ya Thang with a video and leave it off the album. thanks man and again good job keeping this page up and running. Ba11innnn (talk) 04:02, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- Because nobody knows for sure if they are going to be removed from the album. Just look at "Doe Boy Fresh". Tasc0 It's a zero! 04:17, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

I think saying the guests include "The Game, Musiq Soulchild and WC" is better than saying "The Game, Musiq Soulchild and one of Ice Cube's best friends, WC". Don't you think? Dillon90

- Sorry Dillon90 (talk) 22:11, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
I agree that it wasn't right to put the "unreleased tracks" part in there as the album hasn't even been released yet, but shouldn't those tracks be put on the page somewhere like in an "unconfirmed tracks" part or something? Dillon90 (talk) 22:38, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think so. That's not what the source says, right? Tasc0 It's a zero! 22:45, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Album Cover
