Merge

[edit]

It is obviously a good idea to merge two pages about the same person. Since both the page raghavan N Iyer and the page Raghavan Iyer discuss the theosophist and lecturer of that name.

the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raghavan_Iyer page suffers from lack of substance: it is a collection of quotes that ought to be moved to the quotes-wiki and has links that unfortunately don't always contain actual content, there are doubles there as well as links that simply don't contain any content any more.

Since the page without the N doesn't contain any information that isn't also on the longer page, I would suggest turning Raghavan Iyer into a redirect to Raghavan N Iyer immediately. (tried doing so, but it seems I'm not allowed to)

Cleanup tags

[edit]

I removed the flag saying it may need cleanup because the article appears fairly straightforward and does not deviate from Wikipedia standards to any excessive degree. If one feels that flag is truly justified than they should simply make the changes or at a minimum place a note in this discussion page to specify exactly what the problem is.

I also removed the flag saying it doesn't cite sources because it does at the end in the 'Sources' section. (Basically it comes from the website dedicated to Iyer and the bio as cited there was written by Iyer himself.

I have tagged File:Theosophy_org.gif, which is in use in this article for deletion because it does not have a copyright tag. If a copyright tag is not added within seven days the image will be deleted. --Chris 09:46, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
