Split from Separate schools
[edit]Much of the material on this page was originally found at Separate schools. The reason for the split is that the Separate schools article mainly deals with religious-based separate schools in Canada. The motivations and implementation of religious separate schools are very different from race-based separate schools, and the two types of schools should be treated differently. There's also the fact that religious-based separate schools in Canada have a constitutional underpinning, which is not the case for race-based separate schools.
