This article makes individual external links to scanned books by the author. This is not recommended as it chooses for the reader which version of the book they will have access to. There are often multiple versions of the same book at multiple host sites, and they all have pros and cons (scanning quality, prefaces or not, images or not, inline notes or not, reviews or not, etc). In addition, the host sites are continually adding new books over time. Thus, it's preferable to link to all works by an author at the major host sites, and let the reader choose which copy they want.
OK, that explanation is better. The last time you mentioned there were eight works when in fact there were only five, and of the duplicates two were so faintly scanned as to be practically unreadable. It doesn't seem helpful to recommend a bad hotch-potch to readers. It makes them lose faith in WP. Mzilikazi1939 (talk) 14:12, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
