Quote removed from use linked to a copyrighted website (NAMM) placed here
[edit]This quote was stuck on the website possibly violating copyright law, even though it's fine to integrate it into the text as a quote with a decent footnote. For that reason, here it is:
Please, err on the side of caution- anytime outside video sources are used, it's best to quote them if at all possible. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 08:13, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

Structure
[edit]Wouldn't another structure of article more logical and better
Early Years
Rise to fame
Working with Sinatra
Working with Michael Jackson
End of 20th century
Recent years, Mentoring, "Global Gumbo"
.... In the moment article is a wild mess with no real structure. Btw. the role and importance of Clark Terry should be mentionen. Jones was his first pupil and Justin Kauflin his last. etc. etc.

Erroneous quote (?)
[edit]Under JQs "Music Career" there is a section where it says: "It took the myopic conflict between just black and white in the United States and put it on another level because you saw the turmoil between the Armenians and the Turks, and the Cypriots and the Greeks,..." etc.
I am not sure how QJ could have said that; the Greeks and the Cypriots never had problems between themselves and their two countries. Greeks and Cypriots are the same peoples, with the same ethnicity, the same religion and customs. They have the same flag and the same national anthem. There is absolutely no distinction between the two. Due to geopolitical "anomalies" in the 19th century, Cyprus and Greece just happen to be two different countries although their people always wanted to be united as one.
Most likely QJ wanted to convey the fact that the Turks have always caused problems with their neighbors who -among others- happen to be the Armenians, the Greeks and the Cypriots.
If this is an accurate quote then I'm afraid QJ is wrong. If the quote is wrong then it needs to be removed. I checked the source and this quote does not appear in the text portion. Perhaps it's something QJ said but was later misquoted. If the author of that part can please review the verbal interview and note at which minute it was said, that would be very helpful.
