Original research problem with bikes information
[edit]The information on featured bikes has no source, and comes across as if someone familar with 80s bikes has simply added the information. That's not to say it isn't correct, but Wikipedia's original research policy means that all information of this type has to be attributed to a suitable source (which could be a newspaper or magazine article about the making of the film; blog posts and amateur web sites don't qualify), not just added by an individual. The guideline is verifiability, not truth. I removed the worst-case example (guessing at an unnamed model), but the other information also needs references or it really should go as well. Location
[edit]The film was shot on-location in both New York and San Francisco, and takes place in an imaginary amalgam of these two cities.

The film is set and was for the most part photographed in San Francisco. In some scenes, specifically the opening sequence and the chase between Jack and Voodoo, areas of downtown Los Angeles double for San Francisco.
As I recall, the taxi versus messenger scene has an Area code 718 number visible, which suggests on-location filming in NYC. Unfortunately, all of this is OR without a source. Are filming locations typically mentioned in the credits? Flatscan (talk) 20:36, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
