This seems to be a very long and pointless article
[edit]Seriously? At the very least it should be edited down and rewritten. 66.26.95.207 (talk) 04:48, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
I erased a comment under the "Monetary" section that stated that the Russian's short program was "techinically brilliant". That is an opinion and is not a fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.38.117.174 (talk) 17:38, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Someone re-added it, so i'm deleting it again. 71.140.0.46 (talk) 19:06, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Unbelievably long article all so Plushenko can whine about how he deserved the gold and it's all. So. Unfaaaaaair. 64.132.218.4 (talk) 21:39, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
This article is rambling and redundant. It's a terrible Wikipedia entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.178.233.69 (talk) 04:06, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
Definitely get rid. This article is ridiculously biased--did Plushy write it? He well-deserved to lose, his flailing LP was pretty bad. 208.185.94.10 (talk) 22:45, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
This is an opinion article, one that is one-sided toward Plushenko only, and does not reflect at all the view of the majority of the skating community outside of Russia. I am appalled that this is allowed on Wikipedia. At the very least, it needs a complete overhaul including but not limited to: Including the other side with a full discussion, as well as using actual rules under the international judging system. I am not going to be the one to waste my time doing so as this really is just a pointless attack post masquarading as a legitimate Wikipedia article. It isn't disputed that Plushenko himself admitted to having no transitions. No one put those words in his mouth. So he was actually according to the rules overscored, because 0 transitions should result in a 0 for that mark. This article should be discussing whether the quad is undervalued by the rules. That is a very legitimate debate, and one that I actually support. That has also since been resolved to most's satisfaction after this 2010 Olympics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FCC8:9645:9300:2B:BBC0:9742:7BE4 (talk) 21:31, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
Lobbying is nothing new in figure skating. American Olympic-level figure skating judge sent e-mails to more than 60 colleague judges and officials just before Olympic games mentioning Plushenko and Joubert in particular. Totally unethical. We've seen what happened in Salt Lake city 2002 and Sochi 2014. And Vancouver? Over one-half of figure skating fans of the world disagreed with the decision. Quadruple jump controversy is one of the many figure skating scandals and it has something more than a conspiracy theory. This article is very convincing and worth reading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 223.62.215.182 (talk) 20:08, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
