Somers Day

[edit]

Changed the apostrophisation from "Somer's" to "Somers'" Day, as it's named after Sir George Somers. Official websites use either Somers or Somers', although several unofficial sites use the 's form.

Plough Day (July 11th) holiday placement?

[edit]

Not sure if this is noteworthy, or where it should go but Plough Day (named after the colonist ship, Plough) was celebrated in at least 2012, 2014, and 2022. This Royal Gazette article explains that it is celebrated in St. George's Town, so it might be a local holiday or tradition only. StevePrutz (talk) 20:32, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
