[edit]Hey! Thanks for your response about my question on starting a new Wiki medical Setswana translations page. Regarding your response, however, I don't think the topic would be considered original research since it is translations, which are published in books. I am imagining something like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_abbreviations_used_in_medical_prescriptions but with the translations. Further thoughts?? Thanks!Abchave1 (talk) 13:42, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
PublishAmerica
[edit]Hello!
I have a question about your edit to PublishAmerica, which I've posted here. Probably best if we discuss it there, rather than on your talk page. Cheers, AndyJones 19:21, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
Blackwell's Fantasy & SF Stores
[edit]The article says that one of Blackwell's specialist shops sells F&SF. I can't find any mention of this on their website. Can anyone confirm? Rojomoke 14:30, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- I believe it's the Reading store, the manager there is a bit of a SciFi nut Jenny 11:41, 2 February 2007 (UTC) (Blackwell employee)
- Yes, the Reading store is *very* (almost exclusively) SF, Fantasy, and gaming oriented. When I first went there I assumed they were an indy gaming shop using the Blackwells name, and expressed suprise that the bookshop chain hadn't objected! Callum 08:23, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- The specialist Blackwells in Reading closed in September 2007. Callum 16:07, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Ermine Street
[edit]Hello Rojomoke, you questioned me about Ermine Street on the talk page of my old alias Soczyczi. I'm afraid I made that edit two years ago, I don't remember where I found my information, possibly on other Wiki pages. It is possible I made a mistake; if so, feel free to correct it. [edit]Re: Tom Hollander
[edit]Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Tom Hollander. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 16:15, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Caucasus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Turkic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Help desk
[edit]Your recent post at the help desk reads oddly to me: "So even if this guy is referred to as "Lord Neville", his formal title is "Lord Neville"...". Is that what you meant to write? -- John of Reading (talk) 12:31, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Re: David Tennant
[edit]I was actually looking for "official" confirmation as well, but I can only find information on IMDb (David's page and Georgia's page) under the "trivia" section. I understand IMDb isn't reliable, so feel free to take it off. Hollyjoann (talk) 04:42, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
Greetings and... prodding... and de-prodding, etc.
[edit]Greetings Rojomoke. I was thinking of putting The Thin Blue Line (emblem) up for AfD, but seeing that you had prodded it – although it was de-prodded shortly after – rather than waste time going though the history, I thought I would ask you directly whether any debate has been carried out here, there or anywhere else, for that matter, regarding this issue. More importantly, as a result of your initial prod, and your comments on the talk page, other than IPs restoring non-encyclopedic content to the article, has any effort made to bring the article in-line with Wikipedia policies? Regards, --Technopat (talk) 08:00, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for reply. It's just that if I decide to go for the AfD, I want to make sure it gets judged on its merits, whatever they may be, i.e., as objectively as possible and doesn't get away on a mere technicality, as in "... you were welcome to participate in the corresponding discussion but chose not to...". Regards, --Technopat (talk) 12:43, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

Hatting
[edit]Hi, just a friendly note that I undid your hatting of this [1] thread on the reference desk. While I completely agree that the question was phrased in a way that would encourage violations of WP:CRYSTAL, I also think that we should follow the guideline that says "Generally speaking, answers are more likely to be sanctioned than questions." [2] - that is the page regarding medical advice, but IMO it should apply to prediction and opinion as well. If you see any respondents posting prediction or opinion, I will support removal of such. Cheers, SemanticMantis (talk) 14:20, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Re: Reference Desk
[edit]Yes, indeed. I know there's a lot of talk on the ref desk talk page about how best to deal with him, like semi-protection and whatnot. I don't really get into those debates but I don't mind reverting him until he gets bored. --Viennese Waltz 14:04, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello
[edit]Please notice that my question at the reference desk is a theoretical one, about Canon Law. Have you ever heard about Canon Law? It's not an actual Law at all (I've added the French / Spanish law in parenthesis only, because it's supposed to be similar to Canon law). I'm not asking for legal advice, nor am I asking lawyers, but rather people who have studied Canon law. HOTmag (talk) 10:51, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
