Would this be a good place to add a section on the role of non-profits?

[edit]

I want to add a section on the role of non-profit healthcare organizations and their role in combatting healthcare inequality in poor urban and rural areas. Do you think that this article is an appropriate place to add this description? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shraddhapandey2021 (talkcontribs) 18:47, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Revising and Adding to the Page

[edit]

The page is very short and underdeveloped. I would like to add a lot more information to it and broaden it's scope. Firstly, the page mentions that the public health system is comprised of certain facilities and it also describes what these facilities do. However, that is as far as it goes. I would like to expand this by explaining some goals of the public health system, the state of public health in India today (why the system is needed), and shortcomings of the system. This information can be added to different sections of the page. Research on differences in rural versus urban public health systems (such as Community Health Centre CHCs versus Primary Health Centres) can also be incorporated.

Please feel free to comment on my plans for improvement or give me any suggestions. Anjalikalra.18 (talk) 19:41, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest more discussion of rural health worker programs (perhaps directly expanding on the ASHA program Wikipedia page) since the information I added about community health workers is largely about urban workers.
