Note on distribution of P. ovata

[edit]

The State Herbarium of South Australian gives the distribution of this species as the Gairdner-Torrens (GT) and Eyre Peninsula (EP) botanical regions of South Australia, but the Introduction to the Flora of South Australia notes that these regions "do not correspond with natural biogeographic regions (Interim Biogeographic Regionalisation of Australi, IBRA 6.1, 2004). It would not be correct to give the Gawler bioregion as the distribution of this species, because it also occurs in the Eyre Yorke Block and not in most of the more arid Gawler bioregion.[1] Gderrin (talk) 06:53, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
