Marshall's Large Yellow Sweet Plum
[edit]I've restored this name as a "common name" for this species, which was earlier deleted by someone who thought it was a cultivar name. I'm not absolutely sure, but this seems to relate to the original type specimen from which the species was described by Humphry Marshall. Nadiatalent (talk) 23:17, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Merging American plum with this page
[edit]The two pages have different range maps, neither one with a citation. Since the map from American plum matches USDA PLANTS, I'm using that one. Nadiatalent (talk) 21:56, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Request for clarification
[edit]This sentence is ambiguous: "It is commonly confused with the Canada plum (Prunus nigra), although the fruit is smaller and rounder and bright red as opposed to yellow." Which one has the smaller, rounder and yellow fruit? Wlcutler (talk) 19:43, 13 July 2016 (UTC) Wendy Cutler Wlcutler
To add to article
[edit]To add to this article: a close-up photo of the fruits. It's ridiculous and unencylopedic that such a photo wasn't already in this article. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 14:58, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
