QUESTION : Is Prospect Township where the "Firefighters from Prospect" : Prospect Fire Engine Company, Hanley Engineering Service, Hanley Hydrojet, Inc.: Prospect, Marion County, Ohio, USA, are / were located ?
I am interested in the American designer Keenan Hanley, and particularly in his 1940s Hanley Hydrojet Fireboats - one of which was delivered to the Fremantle Harbour Trust in March 1948 - see - http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/79677871
Contrary to the headline and article, it was not a Tug-boat; it was a dedicated purpose-built Fire-boat.
Fremantle was the Western Australian State Capital's (Perth's) main commercial harbour in the 1950s.
"Firefighters from Prospect" is a (rare) book.
"Without a Prop" by David S. Yetman mentions the Freemantle [sic] fireboat in a chapter about 1940s Hanley Hydrojets (p.48) exported from the USA.
