algarroba beer

The Wichí, as well as other indigenous groups of the Gran Chaco, use fallen pods from these trees to make algarroba beer. "Ethnobiology of algarroba beer, the ancestral fermented beverage of the Wichí people of the Gran Chaco I: a detailed recipe and a thorough analysis of the process" is the paper.
