Renaming proposal
[edit]I suggest that we convert this article to be about what is currently called 1-propanol and change the latter into a redirect. We probably do not need a disambiguation article when there are really only two isomers whose naming is fairly clear?--Smokefoot (talk) 14:36, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- Both isomers can be correctly referred to as propanol, it's just a general term for either surely, so I say not. Mowsala (talk) 17:01, 7 September 2010 (UTC)||
- Isopropanol is called isopropanol, not propanol. If I wanted to refer to isopropanol, I'd call it either isopropanol, or isopropyl alcohol. Propanol means 1-propanol, period. I agree with Smokefoot.
