Close paraphrasing
[edit]Earwig's tool with a direct comparison to the source
And a passage:
Article: "O’Hare International Airport was chosen because one of the major objectives was also to determine the low-level winds in and around major airports. It was in corn fields area and late spring timeframe was chosen as damage to the corn could be used as indicators of high velocity wind at the surface. Nominal height of wind sensors was 4 m although some of the stations were located in the suburbs while others were in open fields. The mesonet data was obtained at 1-min resolution."
Source: "The network location was chosen to include O’Hare International Airport because one of the major objectives was also to determine the low-level winds in and around major airports. Nominal height of the PAM wind sensors was 4m although some of the PAM stations were located in the suburbs while others were in open fields. PAM data was obtained at 1-min resolution."
@Pierre cb: you translated this from fr.wikipedia to en.wikipedia; I'm wondering if the source got translated from English to French and then back to English? Explains some of the weird English as well. Still gotta deal with this somehow. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 17:39, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Skarmory: Too long ago. If you want to change the wording, go ahead. Pierre cb (talk) 18:22, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- I've cleaned up from that one source. Taking a break, hopefully nothing else is a problem, but one of the other sources could turn out to be. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 20:09, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- Looks good now on the close paraphrasing front! Skarmory (talk • contribs) 10:14, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Clarification
[edit]@Skarmory: What clarification is needed in this sentence :
Data obtained during the whole project permitted to describe[clarification needed] the three-dimensional motion of the air in thunderstorms and their structure as different types of systems, such as single cells, multi-cells, and bow echoes, but including others as well.
Pierre cb (talk) 18:59, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Pierre cb: I wasn't exactly sure what that meant, so I left it with a clarify tag. I think it can probably be removed looking at it again within the context of the sentence. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 01:07, 7 January 2022 (UTC)
