Does First Amendment apply in POPS? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.242.8.134 (talk) 22:27, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would argue that the 1st amendment DOES apply in POPS because otherwise it would not be a truly public space. Thenexxuz (talk) 20:52, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused by the 'Citation needed' message about the mayor promising to publish new guidelines. It's stated in the same Guardian story that's cited in the previous sentence. I could definitely see how it might need to be reworded, though, since technically it was the deputy mayor who said Sadiq Khan will be publishing the guidelines.

The article: https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2017/jul/24/revealed-pseudo-public-space-pops-london-investigation-map

It says, "In response to the Guardian’s investigation, Jules Pipe, London’s deputy mayor for planning, regeneration and skills, said that a commitment to “genuinely open” public spaces will be a key part of Sadiq Khan’s forthcoming London Plan, which provides a framework for all planning decisions in the capital. The new London Plan will contain guidelines covering open spaces, he explained,"

I don't edit here much & haven't in years, so I don't really know how to correct this or what the proper procedure is for it, but I happened to notice it & thought I'd point it out. Cheers! JinxLuckless (talk) 07:05, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
