Correct title

The Offspring's site is not parameter, because they have Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) as title, two prepositions with capital letter, "For" and "A". The discussion is only about the "For". The correct title for the article is Pretty Fly (for a White Guy), according to WP:TITLE and WP:CAPS. OffsBlink (talk) 18:00, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The correct page should be Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) as the word "for" is capitalised because it's at the start of an open bracket.

Oppose. MOS:CT also says "Prepositions containing four letters or fewer" shouldn't be capitalized unless they are the first word of a title. - I've tried looking into examples. I'd felt the MOS was talking about extended titles like Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb where these song titles seemed to me as more of a bracket situation, like text that's inserted for clarity. Weak support. I don't see anything in MOS:MUSICCAPS (Just created that shortcut) regarding words that directly follow a left paren. Left parens usually signify a new, separate phrase or sentence, as it may here. My support is solely for the fact that this situation is actually not outlined in MOS:MUSICCAPS, so I don't agree that citing this guideline as a reason to oppose this move is completely valid. Support. The passage in MOS:CT mentioned by Darkday seems to clinch the matter. The phrase in the parentheses is to be treated as a new title, which of course would start with a capital letter, even if the first word is a preposition.
