it should be mentioned that there is also a PLGR II version. It looks fairly much different to the orignal plgr 96 shown in the picture —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.3.24.196 (talk) 13:16, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
DAGR versus PLGR - contradictory introduction dates - 1990 or 1994? Or neither?
[edit]In the Defense_Advanced_GPS_Receiver article the year nominated as the introduction of the PLGR is stated as 1994:
"The DAGR replaced the Precision Lightweight GPS Receiver (PLGR), which was first fielded in 1994."
However the PLGR article Precision_Lightweight_GPS_Receiver states 1990:
"Introduced in January 1990, and extensively fielded until 2004 when it was replaced by its successor, the Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR)."
Which is correct, 1990 or 1994? Or neither?
I will post this same concern to the DAGR talk article.

Use in Canadian military
[edit]I know I used the PLGR in the Canadian Army in the mid-late 2000s. I was trained on it in 2005, but I don't have hard dates for when it was replaced by the DAGR. Will try and find out. lostmuskrat (talk) 10:20, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
