The R.A. Torrey quote feels inappropriate here. The assertion he makes is pure speculation on his part and doesn't fit in an article that is a list of biblical citations. Not to mention that it's odd to quote one partisan author from 100 years ago and not include any other scholars, authors, or theorists. Would anyone be bothered if I removed it?
