I'd love to add to this article that many Italians living in Trieste and its surroundings routinely go across the border to use Slovenian post boxes because a) international post is a bit cheaper there and b) delivery times are much much quicker in Slovenia. In my experience sending a simple postcard from Trieste to the UK or Spain takes between 7 days and 22 days (7 days, 10 days, 10 days, 15 days and 22 days) whereas postcards sent on the same day from a Slovenian post box took between 2 days and 8 days (2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 4 days and 8 days). Sadly I have no sources for this and it's all my own research (experience from posting 10 postcards to friends back in Spain and the UK)--217.203.140.27 (talk) 22:22, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
