to know what "trabeated" was should be redirected to a page which told him/her in the first line it was a synonym for post and lintel construction. --Mcginnly | Natter 00:26, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Decorative element
[edit]A lintel can also be a purely decorative element, especially once a more global view of architecture is recognized rather than just Western or Greek/Roman. The article lintel (architecture) was written because the view of Post and lintel is too narrow for many uses in other architectures of the world. --Mattisse 19:57, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Removing your {World} tagging... you are free to edit such minutia into the article, but post and lintel here refer to the engineering and architectural elements of construction in English and American college cirricula. // FrankB 22:24, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
I merged the stuff from Lintel per a merge proposal in place since 2006. Zab (talk) 15:47, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

I made several changes including the removal of two images which did not show post and lintel construction and so were confusing or misleading.
I have questions about the accuracy of the image showing concrete post and lintel construction. Jim Derby (talk) 17:48, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
