Seems to be some confusion between papalo and pipicha

[edit]

The pipicha I bought and tasted looked somewhat similar to tarragon, and tasted most similar to tarragon, with only a slight hint of the citrus scent that wafts from fresh cilantro. Not surprisingly, it's in the same family as tarragon. I did some image searches, and started seeing both what I thought was pipicha, and different plant with broad, round leaves, which I think is actually papalo.

Papalo supposedly tastes like cilantro, so I'm not sure whether people are getting them confused, whether they might both be sold as "pipicha," or what. I tried finding more information on the Spanish Wikipedia, but they don't seem to have any entry on pipicha at all. Next time I find some, I'll snap a pic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.115.3.200 (talk) 16:35, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
