DVD releases

[edit]

The best way to compare the DVD releases will be by their respective running times if only I could find them.--Darrelljon 15:56, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone heard about the Zoke Culture Bootleg DVD? I heard it may be a Megastar reprint.--Darrelljon 20:00, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Police Story 3: Super CopSupercop – This is the clear WP:COMMONNAME. It's the US title and the revised UK title. The Australian title is still "Police Story 3: Supercop", but that's outweighed by the US and UK. 94.3.180.110 (talk) 19:29, 7 December 2019 (UTC) Relisting. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:23, 15 December 2019 (UTC)Relisting. Dekimasuよ! 05:55, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there's any argument that the film isn't the clear primary topic, since there is literally nothing else called "Supercop"... 94.3.180.110 (talk) 23:42, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
At least a couple of police figures have been referred to as "supercop" by the news media, and the term itself for the movie was based on the real life use of the term to nickname certain high profile cops. I don't think the movie is the obvious primary topic over actual police officers with that nickname.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 02:48, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No mention of that at Supercops... 94.3.180.110 (talk) 00:03, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Too much weigh on Western sources using one-word title?

[edit]

ChannelNewsAsia used the previous title. So do Today (Singapore), The Richest, Horror Cult Films. Cinema Blend uses both "Police Story 3" and "Supercop". So do Cheat Sheet (which emphasizes the previous title more). Am I overreacting to the change and (over)emphasis on Western sources using the current title? --George Ho (talk) 04:35, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you're overreacting. The current title is supported by WP:COMMONNAME. 2A02:C7F:6E64:1C00:399C:E35B:C026:BE7C (talk) 10:58, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sources (recent and 2010s, and undated):
According to my research, both the full and short titles are commonly used recently. Please tell me that I'm wrong and that you have sources proving otherwise. George Ho (talk) 20:20, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
