Piston pumps?
[edit]What's the difference between a piston and a plunger pump?
Piston pump currently redirects to pump - should it redirect here instead? --Chriswaterguy talk 16:22, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
How it works
[edit]It doesn't actually say how it works. It might not be obvious to every person that it works by decreasing the volume of the cylinder, by introducing the mass of the plunger into it. It will displace, and pump, exactly the same volume of fluid as the volume of the plunger for every stroke, and draw the same amount into the cylinder when it reciprocates. I had to look at the picture for a moment before I got it, so it might be harder for some people..45Colt 16:16, 21 January 2016 (UTC) .45Colt 16:16, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
