Edit request: simplify / tidy lede

I'm arguably a COI editor here. Below edit is to tidy the existing content in the first paragraph, for grammar, for citation formatting, and to match WP:NCCORP#First sentence. I don't think anything I've changed changes the meaning, intent or nuance of the text.

Paragraph below should be a drop-in replacement for the existing first paragraph:

Play Communications SA, known as Play or P4, is a Polish cellular telecommunications provider. Play was founded in 2007 and has gradually increased its local market share, up to 27% as of 2017. In September 2020, Play became part of French Iliad. Before being sold, Iceland's Novator Partners, led by Icelandic businessman Thor Bjorgolfsson, acquired a large stake in the company.
